Welcome to my new coloring Tutorial I know no one asked for this, but I already had one, and it sucked so … I make new one yes? Great ... For this tut I will be using: - a Wacom Volito 2 Tablet - Photoshop CS2 - Lots of music - FOOD! - WATER - … patience? Ahum yes, let’s get started My victim for this tutorial will be … uhm… Lilly! Yes Lilly , that’s her name … hehe… no I didn’t make that up just now >.> I first drew her in Sketcher [at Artgrounds.com] and then did her line art here in PS. I have 4 layers … Lineart, background and a group (sketch) with 2 sketch layers but its not really important Doesn't always have to happen, but it could make a difference ... On to the Coloring Just do flats… pick colors, and stuff yes.. simple isn’t it? XD why outside? I don’t know, Do I need a reason ? JUST DO IT! GEEZ xD after select the outside of the skin and go Select>modify>expand >1 then press delete and voila After that just erase rests with the eraser x3 O and I did a dark blue for the background, just so I can see where the skin is and stuff… yea Just do every part of her like this until you have something like the following: Nice colors eh? eh? What? NO?! ...wtf ... | Now, for her skin I stole a color pallet of one of Yamiza's drawings, cuz she's awesome and her colors rules and I suck at picking colors yes. Off course you made all new layers for every little thing there is and named them all! Off course you did *never does cuz she's lazy* Pick the 'Airbrush Pen Opacity Flow' Brush and start blocking the colors | | Remember you light source, yes yes, the light source xD Mine is a little above to the right. ... Probably just sunlight so yes, start coloring, don't just put the darkest color somewhere, but first use the lightest shade, then a little darker and so forth. | | Coloring the face... remember where the shadow falls. Study your own face, or just herras your mother/father/sibling to study his/hers with different light angles. Next to the eyes, below the nose and the hair are where the most shadow falls. | | Blending all the colors together... and stuff 8D; keep the Eyedropper(I) at hand ^^ | | Do the same for the rest of the skin | OK Time for a little intermission! GO GET SOME FOOD! .... And we're off again! | Start the same way as the skin, just blop darker colors where the shadows fall. Blend it, lighten it up etc etc Stupid me forgot to make screen shots of the process -_- I will make it up to you with the pants and hair! | | Lighten up the edge... to make it look more real 8D; I'm such a bad teacher xD *cough* Next Frame please | | Colors reflect, so use the color of the pants and dap it onto the shirt. We will do the same later with the pants... but then with yellow x3 | | | | Pants time. See I took screen shots this time! I said I'd make it up to you! Muwhaha Big brush (same one as before, it rulez) and just thought the shadow on there, you don't have to be very neat about it... not jet anyway. | | A slight smaller brush, and a darker color. Start forming folds and defining the form more. | | Jet a smaller brush, and a darker color, more defining and shaping. Woo~ooh, aren't we having fun? | | Blending time! This is the fun part x3 Don't forget your Eyedropper! (I) | | Jet a smaller brush, very small this time. More Blending, more Folds, more detailing. Oh the FUN! [no I'm not being sarcastic for a change xD] | | I added some detail to the sows here. Make it look more 3D and creating some stitches | | And now time for the reflecting color! Yellow it is. | | A little blue light which is a reflection of the sky which I will be doing later. | | | | | What we have so far ^ ^ Next time we will cover the hair! Which will be shorter, MUCH shorter than this tut xD I hoped you enjoyed and my oppologies for the bad grammar/spelling etc bla bla Im dutch Horray Greetz Tha Witchy
