I've been trying to use Sketcher, but when I enter a room the canvas simply won't load. I checked the FAQs and I did as I was supposed to - I updated Java to the latest version, but this hasn't solved the problem. I'd appreciate any assistance!

With Sketcher still open, please right-click the Java icon on your task bar and choose "Java Console." If there is anything that looks like an error message, paste it here in its entirety.

I use a Mac, so I'm not sure the comparison is one to on, but when I active Sketcher, Java doesn't appear on my version of the task bar at all.

All right. Remember to state your OS the next time. Which version number of Java are you running?

I switched to a different browser (I was using Firefox), and Sketcher works just fine (with Chrome). The trouble, whatever it was, was browser-related. All's well that ends well!

For anyone else having trouble with Sketcher on OSX ... I finally got it to work on my macbook (OSX Ver. 10.5. by using a web browser called Icab!
http://www.icab.de/dl.php
I'm using Icab Version 4.7; It is supposed to be designed for Snow Leopard.. But Sketcher actually runs like a dream even on my leopard Rig; Maybe due to the fact that it's 64 bit enabled, and it uses the latest 64 bit version of java by default.
Good luck!
