At LEAST 300 dollars for the flute, and about 40 dollars for shipping. When was this bought, and do you have a receipt to go with it by chance? I'm selling this for my sisters friend, so I know only what she's told me and what she knows. I do have the flute in my possession, though. |

Especially the shipping charges. Zitholkt Joined on: 6 Aug 2005 08:39 | Re: Flute for Sale | I live in Michigan. I wouldn't say its too expensive, really. From what I've seen, flute's go for more than trumpets, and my sister got her trumpet for about 700. And that was used. So, no doubt this person paid even more for hers. The shipping I can reduce to maybe 25 or 30. It cost us about 25 to ship off the trumpet when we sold it. |

I was looking at the same 50 series flutes on ebay and amazon and they ranged about 200 and lower. G'luck selling it! :3 isiriu Joined on: 25 Jun 2006 00:07 | Re: Flute for Sale | I was thinking about this. I don't think you'll honestly manage 300 for it, given that its not even an open hole. You'd be lucky to take a 200 offer and run with it. What Rattle said is right.. I mean I have found excellent open hole intermediate level flutes selling for 250-300. A beginner/entry level one, regardless of what it is unless it's something really rare or the buyer doesn't know much, is going to have a hard time fetching that sort of money. Ps: I don't know where you managed to find a trumpet for less than a flute. Must have had a great deal.... the only flutes running for more than a good trumpet are typically entry level ones. She probably paid 350-500 for the flute brand new. Brass instruments are expensive! |
