First off.
RPD: It's *IRC*, not mIRC! Khaled Mardam-Bey wrote an *IRC* (Internet Relay Chat) client for Windows and named it mIRC after his own middle initial. This is one of my pet peeves. Saying "mIRC server" is like calling it a "Firefox server" instead of a "Web server".
Now back to our regular schedule.
ArtGrounds has an IRC server. Hurray!
[b]/server irc.artgrounds.com
/join #ArtGrounds[/b]
If you lack an IRC client, [url=http://www.mirc.com/]mIRC[/url] is a good alternative for Windows. [url=http://www.mirc.com/install.html]Click here[/url] for newbie instructions!

Once in there, you simply put in, well a nickname obviously.
Then the channel you put is #artgrounds, and then the server is irc.artgrounds.com
