Because you've all been waiting so long, I have worked all weekend to bring up an early Sketcher2 test room. It hasn't got all the features that the final version will have, and it's probably orders of magniture more prone to crashing, but never the less:
The Sketcher2 Client can be downloaded here:
http://www.artgrounds.com/software/Sketcher2Client.jar
The JAR file should cause Java to start on any good system. Should there be a problem, the client can be launched manually.
java -jar Sketcher2Client.jar
Good luck! If you get a blank screen, there was problably some error, like an invalid password. This is VERY early stuff, so don't expect it to behave well. Oops, uploaded the wrong JAR file. Fixing in a moment! Now if the rest of the cowards can start testing so Merc and I aren't all alone... I was hoping for some sort of revamped interface though, where you could have more than one panel up at the same time, or have the ability to click and drag the panels to wherever you like on the screen. Also, a number input for the color sliders would be great. Maybe even something like the color picker in OC or advanced paintchat. If I'm not sounding needy enough yet, how about a copy tool? (Maybe that's for sketcher 3. Hehehe.) Kick job Thor, I'll be drawing a lot more here, without a doubt! |

Kick job Thor, I'll be drawing a lot more here, without a doubt! Thanks for everyone's input. This is not the finished product. The purpose of the testing is to find out what needs changing. A better color picker plus an eyedrop palette are ideas I'm working on. Old Sketcher, known in early 2005 as LivePainter, had a multi-windowed interface, but it took too much screen space, but I'll be glad to look into it again. Won't let meh get in T.T... The Sketcher2 daemon isn't running. That is why you cannot connect. Thread closed.
